Overview:
Awakening the Soul, is a simple but profound form of Sheng Zhen Meditation; it consists of eight movements/positions and associated contemplations and is practiced while sitting in a chair. It a powerful practice for any level practitioner - both new or experienced. These movements and positions have the power to open the heart and awaken the soul; when the soul is awakened, one’s life becomes inspired. Doubt and worry cease to exist.Then, one can experience true love, understand life, and enjoy life fully – body and soul.
This module provides:
• A video of Master Li teaching you the 8 positions and movements of Awakening the Soul.
• A video of Master Li and Li Jing demonstrating the practice, while the contemplations are being read. This is a wonderful tool for daily practice.
• Talks about the Importance of Daily Practice and the Three Functions of Sheng Zhen - both by Master Li Junfeng. Also, there is a short video about the purpose of Awakening the Soul.

Your Instructor
Master Li Junfeng, and his daughter, Li Jing, are a skillful and loving teaching combination. They have been teaching together for over 20 years, complimenting each other's knowledge and style, creating a dynamic combination that is a pleasure to experience.
Master Li Junfeng is the founder of the International Sheng Zhen Society. He is well-known as the former head coach of the renowned Chinese National Martial Arts Team. He was also an award-winning kung fu movie actor and choreographer. Today, he travles extensively sharing his knowledge and experience with warmth, kindness, humor and patience. Presently, he is based in Santa Barbara, California, at the Sheng Zhen Center for Self-Healing, but travels to many countries around the world throughout the year to teach.
Li Jing was born in Beijing, China and has lived and traveled around the globe teaching Sheng Zhen Meditation. Named Jing (Peace and Tranquility) by her parents, she began learning Wushu from her father, Li Junfeng, who was the head coach of the Chinese National Wushu team and chief coach of the Beijing Wushu Team. She received two gold and one silver medal in international competition. Jing now lives in Germany with her husband and two children. As a doctoral student in Health Sciences at Orebro University in Sweden, her research work was focused on creating a methodology to extract the key knowledge about well-being from meditation. Jing is now the princial teacher of Sheng Zhen Meditation which she learned from her father, the founder of the International Sheng Zhen Society.
